NEWBERG, OR, March 2 - Wise Software Solutions has
added online training to its customers' maintenance contracts. The CAM
software provider will include "proportionate" levels of training with
each level of its annual maintenance contracts. The training will be
conducted online via WebEx.
In a press release, Wise said it believes it is the first vendor to
do so. This on-line training will help users better leverage new
features.
"We are continually working to offer new technology that allows
GerbTool users to perform their jobs faster and more accurately," said
Jeff Miller, vice president of sales and marketing. "By offering online
training ... we are not only adding value to our maintenance, but we are
helping our users to become proficient with the latest that GerbTool
has to offer."
Wise also announced a new upgrade policy for GerbTool. Upgrades
permit users of past versions who have not stayed current on
maintenance to bring software up to the latest version for a nominal
fee. According to Wise, upgrades are not intended to replace
maintenance, but instead provide a means for keeping products current.
