ROCHESTER, NY –EMA Design Automation has integrated the
Omnify software into the EMA Engineering Data Management (EDM) environment.
“Omnify is a proven technology for managing data,” said
Manny Marcano, president and CEO of EMA. “Integrating Omnify into our EDM
solution provides five key capabilities that bolster our compliance by design
philosophy, allowing companies of any size to have the power of a full EDM
system.”
These capabilities include configuration management, bill of
materials (BOM) management, document management, change management and enhanced
reporting.
“We are pleased that EMA has selected our technology as the
backbone of their EDM solution,” said Jack Rowntree, executive vice president
of Omnify Software. “Supporting EMA in providing a complete compliance solution
from component sourcing to data management helps manufacturers to fully comply
with the regulations while maintaining an efficient product development
process.”
“Overall, I believe EMA’s capabilities in RoHS/WEEE content
research combined with the Omnify technology are an unbeatable solution,” said
Marcano. “This combination is unique in the EDA Industry and is very compelling
for the entire customer base.”

California Micro Devices introduces the CM1624, a microSD interface protection filter for mobile and computing devices. The product protects against ESD damage to the flash memory card or hardware, as well as curbs EMI, while providing digital signal integrity. Features include: rise times as fast as 5 nSec with 75 MHz clocks in a 50-ohms environment; low line capacitance of 12 pF at operating voltages; and attenuation from 700 Mhz to 3 GHz. The CM1624 has integrated pull-up resistors, removing the need for additional circuitry on the PCB handset and lowering costs. It is available in an industry standard, compact, RoHS-compliant microDFN16 package.
